Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Synthetic slimes

Synthetic slimes are fairly common, due to them being essentially manmade slimes. These slimes are the slimes mainly seen in pet shops, as they were bred to be mild-tempered and easy to clean up after. Like dogs and cats, they would not survive in the wild. They mainly come in green, but can be other colors.

as an avid Sky COTL enjoyer, these things are quite fuckin annoying.

oh my gumdrops i havent been on here for a damn WHILE.

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Dairy slimes

Dairy slimes are commonly found around farms that produce milk. These slimes at one point were seen as a pest due to their tendency to leech off of a cow's milk. Later on, however, it was found that they turn this milk into "slime cream", which has become incredibly popular. Since then, farmers have started keeping dairy slimes around their farms in order to create their own slime cream.

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Treasure slimes

Treasure slimes are a species of slime that are obsessed with hoarding copious amounts of discarded valuables. These slimes often store these valuables inside of their mantle and will defend them fiercely. It seems these slimes have no real understanding of the economic value of their hoard, and only show interest in anything that sparkles.

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Electrical slimes

Electrical slimes are a species of slime that have harnessed the powers of electricity. By building up enough of a static charge, these slimes can deliver a nasty shock to anything they deem a threat. Be careful!

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Mimic slimes

Mimic slimes are masters of social deception. Using their abilities to change both their shapes and their colours, mimic slimes can transform into whatever form they want. They usually only use this to avoid predators or to play pranks (which they are very fond of).

"Do you have any Ibuprofen? I got a headache."

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Explosive slimes

Explosive slimes, as the name implies, are highly volatile slimes that will detonate in response to certain stimuli. An explosive slime may explode when it is excited, scared, or angry. These slimes are also incredibly unstable emotionally, increasing the risk of explosion. The slime is normally fine after detonation.

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Sugar slimes

Sugar slimes are a fairly common pest that can be found in bakeries and confectionery stores globally. These slimes are attracted to sugary foods and will eat them no matter what. Their sweet-tooth has lead to their mantle becoming incredibly sweet, almost sickeningly so. It is advised to keep any and all sweets locked away to avoid an infestation.

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Floral slimes

Floral slimes are a common species of esoteric slime that can be found in areas where plants are abundant. These slimes have a symbiotic relationship with multiple kinds of plants and mosses, allowing them to live in it's mantle in exchange for the glucose produced when the plants photosynthesize. Their mantle also possesses medicinal properties.

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Cosmic slimes

Cosmic slimes are an extremely rare species to encounter. The last confirmed sighting of them was over 40 years ago! This rarity is mainly due to the fact they live in the far reaches of space. These slimes are incredibly resilient in all environments, from the coldest tundras to the hottest volcanoes, allowing them to survive even if they're accidentally pulled onto a planet's surface.

(+2)

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Putrid slimes

Putrid slimes are a (thankfully) rare species of slime that live in swamps. These slimes possess the ability to create a foul odour around themselves. The stench has been described as "a horrid blend of sulphur and decay." Do not approach!

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Aerial slimes

Aerial slimes are a species that can be found at various levels of the planet's atmosphere. While most creatures use wings to fly, aerial slimes instead use convection to lift themselves off the ground. By gulping down air and heating themselves up with high-frequency vibrations, these slimes become less dense than air.

Slime Bestiary Vol. II: Iridescent slimes

Iridescent slimes are a member of the rare esoteric slimes, which do not fit in with their chromatic cousins. These slimes have a beautiful shimmering appearance, often dazzling anyone who manage to catch a glimpse of them. Their mantle possesses soothing qualities and are willing to share their gift with those they trust.
