ok so his eyes turn black when he's upset and all, when Murdoc was around, 2D was miserable. I mean Murdoc ruined both of his eyes, kidnapped him, and then bullied him and also almost killed him like 5 different times. But when Murdoc leaves, 2D is happier and so his eyes are white. When he is tripped he becomes upset and his eyes turn black but they return to white later when he's no longer upset.
2D's eyes were black when his eyes were first ruined, and they were black as he was getting kidnapped, they were black around Murdoc seeing as he repeatedly abuses him and shouts at him etc. and all that. Ever since his girlfriend cheated on him with Murdoc, his eyes were permanently black (until Murdoc left) since no one really stopped Murdoc because he was the leader, he basically owned the group and all.
I feel like they've been like helping 2D and Murdoc is like ",don't help that loser" y'know that kind of situation..I aslo feel like Russel is literally just there..
